My Rant of the day / week / month / year

Drivers and mobile phones:

Even since the ban on the use of mobile phones whilst driving, I still see countless people using their phones whilst driving. Even worse - I have seen people obviously texting! This demonstrates an appalling lack of responsibility towards other motorists and pedestrians. I have even seen bus drivers using their phones! Not to mention drivers of large trucks. For many years, the human race survived without instant communication - but now suddenly we can't go anywhere, without having to take a call, make a call, or worse still, send a text message. And yet interestingly enough, many companies large and small, have internal communication problems. So in spite of having the technology, people who need to communicate still don't succeed at it...

Council Tax:

I can't speak for other parts of the UK, but I don't know what we pay council tax for here in Leeds.
The majority of the roads are in an appalling condition and the Police force appears to be very thin
on the ground.
But who really wants to join the police force anyway? You only end up babysitting a bunch of drunken
kids at least twice a week. And you're subjected to huge amounts of abuse at the same time.
One can understand why the police force is understaffed, after all, it's no longer about real detective
work anymore is it? I'm sure there are many exceptions, but it would appear that the majority of the force no
longer seems to do real police work.

Ebay:

Aah, good old Ebay.
Well Ebay no longer seems to have the great community spirit it once had, now that a large percentage of users appear to be traders. And now the eBay mantra of "grab a bargain" sinks to new lows (as do the prices) - have you tried to sell something on there lately? I think I could get a better price touting my goods on a street corner - and I wouldn't have to pay the ludicrously high fees that eBay charge now. Vote with your feet people!

Spam:

Spammers are the scumbags of this earth. They attempt to spam me 60+ times a day, and for the last year
I have been successfully blocking their junk, using a combination of Postfix and Spamassassin.
Most of their spam does not even make it past Postfix, as I have setup such strict rules, that causes
their client to disconnect and terminate the SMTP session.
